Bellway Mushroom Farm Planning Application Appeal (APP/Z3825/W/24/335009)
Chanctonbury Community Land Trust is pleased to confirm that the Planning Inspectorate REFUSED Bellway's Planning Appeal on Friday 13th June - certainly not an unlucky day for the Parish of Thakeham and Horsham District Council!
CCLT along with Thakeham Parish Council submitted documentation, and spoke at the Inspection Meeting to support HDC's decision to refuse Planning Permission for Bellway to build a minimum of 247 properties on the Mushroom Farm. HDC Officers presented a thoroughly researched, carefully reasoned argument to support their refusal and it's good to see that the Planning Inspector accepted and endorsed those reasons.

As you will note CCLT believes an alternative vision exists for the Mushroom Farm and we have already held discussions with HDC to ensure our thinking aligns with the needs of the District as well as the more important concerns of the residents in Thakeham and the surrounding Parishes CCLT seeks to represent.
