Exciting Opportunity at Thakeham Mushroom Farm
As part of Bellway's revised planning application for the redevelopment of the Thakeham Mushroom Farm site, a plot of land near the site entrance has been earmarked for Chanctonbury Community Land Trust (CCLT).
Discussions with Bellway are ongoing (June 2026) as CCLT explores the potential acquisition of the land and considers how it could be developed to deliver lasting benefits for the local community.
At the same time, CCLT is working closely with officers at Horsham District Council to assess and maximise this exciting opportunity for local residents.
2026 Annual General Meeting
Chanctonbury Community Land Trust advises Members that the second AGM of the Society will be held on Friday 25th September at 8PM in the Chesswood Room, Thakeham Village Hall.
Business to be transacted will include presentation and approval of the Society's second year's Annual Accounts and the election of Board Members. All Members are encouraged to attend the Meeting and participate in the proceedings.
Members seeking election to the Board of Directors should notify the Secretary of their interest, no later than Friday 28th August, in order for candidate details to be circulated to Members in advance of the meeting
